Winnie Odinga Slams Oketch Salah Over Claims About Raila Odinga’s Final Moments

East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) Member of Parliament Winnie Odinga has strongly dismissed claims made by businessman Oketch Salah, who alleged that he was present during the final moments of her late father, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV on Tuesday, January 27, Winnie termed Salah’s statements as false, misleading, and dangerous, questioning his motives for making such remarks.

“I have met Oketch Salah, but I believe nobody really knows him. To claim you were present during my father’s death when you were not, and to speak about events that never happened, is extremely dangerous and raises serious concerns about his intentions,” Winnie stated.

The EALA legislator further called for immediate intervention by authorities, urging law enforcement agencies to take action against Salah over what she described as irresponsible conduct.

“He should be rushed to either Mathare Hospital or the DCI with immediate effect,” Winnie added.

Her response comes days after Salah publicly claimed that he stayed with Raila Odinga throughout his illness and was present during his final moments. He alleged that he provided emotional support and participated in private discussions, insisting that his revelations were not driven by sympathy or political motives but by what he termed as the truth.
