In its latest annual performance review, Politrack Africa has released the rankings of the top 15 best performing senators in Kenya for the period 2025–2026. The survey, which measures public approval and legislative effectiveness, reveals a competitive field with clear leaders emerging from both longstanding and newer political figures.

Here, we break down the top ten senators  who have earned the highest approval ratings from their constituents and the wider public.

1. Sen. Prof. Tom Ojienda – Kisumu County

 

Approval Rating: 74.9%
Topping the list is Senator Tom Ojienda, whose strong advocacy in legal and legislative matters continues to resonate widely. His focus on governance and human rights issues has clearly struck a chord in Kisumu and beyond.

2. Sen. Edwin Sifuna – Nairobi County

Approval Rating: 72.5%
Nairobi’s senator remains a prominent and vocal figure in national politics. Edwin Sifuna’s active engagement on urban issues, youth affairs, and senate debates has solidified his position as a top performer.

3. Sen. Joe Nyutu – Murang’a County

Approval Rating: 69.4%
Joe Nyutu takes third place, reflecting his growing influence and service delivery focus in Murang’a. His community-driven projects and legislative contributions appear to be paying off.

4. Sen. Moses Kajwang’ – Homabay County

Approval Rating: 68.2%
Known for his eloquence and steadfast representation, Moses Kajwang’ continues to be a strong voice for Homabay. His consistency in senate attendance and committee work is clearly noted by the public.

5. Sen. Fatuma Dullo Adan – Isiolo County

Approval Rating: 67.9%
Senator Fatuma Dullo remains a key leader from the northern regions, championing gender inclusion and devolution. Her rating underscores her respected role in the senate.

6. Sen. Okong’o Mogeni – Nyamira County

Approval Rating: 67.3%
A legal mind in the senate, Mogeni’s detailed contributions to constitutional and legislative reviews have earned him a solid approval score from Nyamira residents.

7. Sen. John Kinyua – Laikipia County

Approval Rating: 66.0%
John Kinyua’s focus on agriculture, security, and resource management in Laikipia is reflected in his strong performance rating, marking him as a reliable representative.

8. Sen. Eddy Oketch – Migori County

Approval Rating: 65.2%
One of the younger senators, Eddy Oketch has made a notable impact with his passionate debates and grassroots connectivity, securing a top-ten position.

9. Sen. Ledama Ole Kina – Narok County

Approval Rating: 64.7%
Ledama’s bold advocacy for Maasai community rights and resource equity continues to garner support, maintaining his presence among the top performers.

10. Sen. Godfrey Osotsi – Vihiga County
Approval Rating: 63.4%
Rounding out the top ten is Godfrey Osotsi, whose legislative initiatives on public service and governance have been well received in Vihiga.
