The Secretary Prosecution Services Alloys Kemo has emphasized the importance of strong, independent professional institutions in enhancing justice delivery and public confidence in the rule of law.
Kemo spoke during the groundbreaking for the construction of Wakili Towers, a landmark development that will house the national headquarters of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), describing the project as a critical boost to institutional strength within Kenya’s justice system.
“The effectiveness of the justice system depends not only on laws and policies, but on the strength of the institutions that uphold them. Wakili Towers represents progress, stability, and professionalism for the legal fraternity and for the country,” Kemo said.
He noted that the establishment of a permanent, modern headquarters for the LSK would create a conducive environment for engagement between prosecutors, advocates, the judiciary, and other justice sector actors.
“This facility will provide a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the justice chain. That collaboration is essential if we are to deliver justice efficiently, fairly, and transparently,” he added.
