Naivas Supermarkets has rolled out a nationwide customer appreciation campaign to celebrate fathers, with senior company executives engaging shoppers across its more than 110 stores in over 38 counties.

The Father’s Day activation, held under the retailer’s ongoing Kikapu Kibonge campaign, saw the supermarket chain’s top leadership leave their offices and interact directly with fathers shopping in stores across the country.

Leading one of the engagement teams was Naivas Group Chief Executive Officer Andreas von Paleske, who joined customers in-store to personally thank and celebrate fathers. A second team comprising senior executives conducted parallel activities in stores across other regions to ensure the campaign reached customers nationwide.

“Fatherhood carries a quiet, daily weight that rarely gets celebrated out loud,” said von Paleske.

“Kikapu Kibonge has always been Naivas’s promise to size up the Kenyan household’s basket and its lifestyle. Today, we are sizing up that same promise to honour the men who carry their households on their shoulders every single day.”

As part of the activation, fathers shopping at Naivas stores received tokens of appreciation and participated in dedicated in-store recognition activities while interacting directly with the retailer’s leadership.

The initiative forms part of Naivas’s broader Kikapu Kibonge campaign, through which the retailer seeks to deliver greater value, affordability, and a more rewarding shopping experience to Kenyan households.

According to the retailer, the Father’s Day engagements were designed to reflect the company’s founding values of customer-centricity, community partnership, and integrity.

“This was built to be felt by fathers in every region we serve—from our stores in Nairobi to the Coast, the Rift Valley, Western Kenya and beyond. Wherever there is a Naivas, there was appreciation for fathers today.”

Naivas said the activation demonstrates its belief that retail is not only about offering products and competitive prices but also about building meaningful relationships with the communities it serves.
